Your Rights Under UK GDPR
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the following rights regarding your personal data held by The Garden Commuter.
Right of Access
You have the right to request a copy of all personal data we hold about you. This is known as a Subject Access Request (SAR). We will respond within one calendar month of receiving your request.
Right to Rectification
If any personal data we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to request correction. You can update most information directly via your account dashboard.
Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”)
You may request that we delete your personal data. This includes your account, forum posts, job applications, and supplier listings. We will process erasure requests within 30 days, unless we have a legal obligation to retain certain data.
Right to Restrict Processing
You can ask us to temporarily stop processing your data while we verify its accuracy or assess a legitimate interest claim.
Right to Data Portability
You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format (e.g., CSV or JSON) and to transmit it to another controller.
Right to Object
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing at any time. To unsubscribe from marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter or contact us directly.
Right Related to Automated Decision-Making
We do not currently use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects on you.
